The Turner Station History Center (TSHC) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) community museum run by a dedicated team of volunteers. It was established and opened in 2011. Our mission is to “Remember, celebrate, and share the rich history of Turner Station.” TSHC is a gathering place and a source of information and inspiration for Turner Station’s past and present residents and people everywhere. Its exhibits reflect the powerful heritage and spirit of a proud African American community and its residents who thrived through faith, family, education, and hard work. The History Center’s prime objective is to ensure that Turner Station’s amazing legacy lives on.
Access photographs, articles, and documents from the Turner Station community collected by Mary Coleman’s Turner Station Historical Committee. This organization is a separate but close collaborator of the TSHC and is considered a sister organization working to preserve the history of the community.
