They call Edie the “Energizer Bunny”. She’s the “Let’s do it!” person who has served for almost two decades on the Turner Station Conservation Teams Board to revitalize her historic community. A TS4life person, Edie has led the Beautification Team to create a cleaner, greener, more beautiful community. As the Co-chair of the Turner Station History Center, the team works to “Remember, celebrate and share” the community’s rich legacy. Edie honors her late husband's legacy as President and Co-founder of the Dunbar Brooks Education Foundation. She loves to work and strives for excellence using her passion, creativity, and gift of writing to address issues and inspire others.
Mandy Breedlove is a long time Turner Station resident, proud mother, and grandmother. She is Co-chair of the Turner Station History Center and a Board Member of the Dunbar Brooks Education Foundation. Mandy brings a positive attitude and creative energy wherever she goes. She has an extensive employment background and a variety of interests which include art, poetry, writing, land planning, real estate investing, and management. She is currently employed as the Director of Land Transactions for Baltimore City’s Department of Housing and Community Development. Mandy believes that positively impacting the lives of others is essential in everything she does.
Arkia Wade continues the legacy of service to Turner Station that originated from her beloved grandfather, Dr. William C. Wade. She serves as the Turner Station Girl Scout Troop Leader (Troop 353) and Treasurer of the Turner Station Conservation Teams, Inc. Arkia also serves as the President of the Baltimore County Arts Guild Board. She has a smile that is infectious and enjoys helping young people and our cherished Senior Citizens. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Psi Phi Omega Chapter serving East Baltimore City. Arkia currently is the CEO/Founder of Neighborhood Companions, Inc. which offers volunteer transportation and companionship services to adults aged 60 and over in Baltimore County.
